    Hello,

unfortunately I do not have better pictures.
Would this one stand a chance?

    Thanks

          Hello Tom,

do you think it is put together or is it all good just without the catch?

          Thanks

I just did a little reading on the S&L German cross, it seems like it's still unknown if these crosses are post war or period made.....
Did I miss anthing, was this mistery ever solved?

            Thanks

Would this cross be considered authentic or pieced together or complete junk?

              Thanks

                Alex,

I personally believe these are post-war fabrications.

                  Hello William,

does this apply in general to all S&L crosses?
I would assume the value would be substantially lower compared to other known period made examples right?

Terribly lighted photo, but the finish on this one looks postwar.

I personally believe S&L did make originals of these fairly late in the war. The idea that it would create all the multiple dies for this award just to have something to sell in the immediate postwar months is just silly.

I have to agree with that.
