      I think these are OK, here is another one I got from a good private source with an unissued "76" EK2.

      I sent photos to Detlev to double check and he seems to give it the thumbs aslo.

      As these appear to be made from Zinc this may account for the alternative pin attachment.

          Thank you for the reassurance, although reaction seems about 50/50. I believe the spange to be authentic as it does come from a reliable source however, no one is infallible. My expertise in this area falls short of the mark.

            Sometimes -- but especially, it seems, with unmarked Spangen -- you just have to go with your gut instinct on a piece. That's why I prefer marked examples.
