    RK cases- internal views

At the risk of boring everyone about RK cases, I have removed the base from three cases to examine. It is very interesting. The cases have not been butchered, as base falls back in very nicely. The three cases are an old square case, an indeterminate square case, and a repro. Let me know what you think. Thanks. First is the photo of all three

The next two are close ups of numbers and a "KB" within the back. What do you think these are? This is on the old square case.

I think these photos nicely show the yellow animal glue vs the modern clear glue. The animal glue is yellow, smells old, and cracks. the modern glue is clear and does not appear to crack as much. I think the internal marks of the old square case are interesting. The other square case has the yellow glue and does not glow. However, it has characteristics that are not entirely of the early square cases nor the '57 cases. All internally I think are very interesting and show side by side different examples. Once again, I did not ruin the cases, so please do not think I am destroying history. I carefully disected these to avoid damage. I think the information is worth it. Comments?
