    Screwback plate

How difficult will it be to find the correct screwback (rayed pattern) for a 1st Class Spange?

Bob, not impossible but very difficult. I looked for a long time to find one and never did. Jim

        Hi Bob
I have been looking for one for about ten years with no luck. I emailed lots of dealers and no one had one. One guy in Australia sent me one but the thread style was wrong? Good luck.

        Cheers

Steve, I have one of those as well, but it's post war.
The metal is so soft, you can bend it by looking at it ....

Bob, try to look for a ground-dug or worn-off 1914 ek, that is basically the only way to find a disc.
Even the regular discs with the thicker thread are very hard to find.

          Good luck!
