    surprising L11

    well

    this L11 came in today

and its in so nice condition that I wood almost say its from a horde
especially the case (marked L11 ) is one I never handled before
but raises no alarm bells ..as all characteristics that come with period etui's are correct

the ek is marked also with a different mark ,but also no alarm bells as there are many L11 marks .
    this one I seen before

    late version L11 ek1 ? Or early ?

as this one is going on sale ...I wood like to here Moore opinions .

nice to see another ek1 is presented at the same time

Very nice set ! Cross fit that nice case very good.
I would say that cross is not a late type but IMO a late 1941/1942 product.

Nice conditioned L/11 in its box. Anyway, it's not that weird to find them this nice. You just have to be lucky. I have a mint cased (late case) L/11 myself. It was probably never worn and just after the war it came back as a souvenir of a Flemisch person who helped the Americans as a translator. It still looks like it was made yesterday.

                  Regards, Wim

                    L/11

                    Hi Kay

You have the rarer form of the L/11 as it does not have the box around the makers mark. This stamp was used on screw backs while the pin back had the box around the makers mark. Very nice setup. Jim
