    Good Deumer EK1?

I recently started collecting EKs and am passionate about it. I acquired a few nice ones from fellow forum members.

But now I have to go through the 7 or 8 crosses that I have owned for years to make sure they're legit.

First up is an L/11 marked EK1. At first glance, I thought it was a repo because of the slanted date. But in studying other Deumers on the site, this seems to be a trait of some of them. The maker mark looks good as well as the hinge assembly and catch.

    Opinions?

Maker mark and catch. Oh yeah. It's vaulted and probably done by the recipient.

After checking The Iron Cross First Class.

Looks like a good one to me.

Book indicates that the vaulting may have been factory done.

        Hi Bernie,

Looks just fine. In good shape, too. Hard to say without holding it if it was vaulted in the factory, or in the field (so to speak) but I would guess the latter.
