Unionjack, I am cautious, but this cross does not make me happy.
          Cheers, Frank

Oh no! I was getting warm fuzzies looking at it. I thought the details in the back shell were awesome. Does it spin freely? I remember seeing one of Greg's screwback EK's and the threads were precision made. It took many turns to close.

Why the sad feelings on this one, Frank?

I agree with Frank. My opinion is that this is a reproduction. Compare it with the good one just posted by Shane Bennett. The finish just isn't there. And these clamshells always make me shy away. Especially if there's no stabilising hook.

                Jack,
Is the rim of the securing disc sharp to the touch? If so, that is not a good sign. I have little experience with these but this type of disc is heavly faked on several types of badges.

                  Dear Gary,

Mainly the wrong finish (too good for a zinker finish, too bad for a real Tombak cross), the wrong material (should be Tombak but is modern white metal) and the fact that that KVK1X reproductions with this shell type screwback are known.
                  Cheers, Frank

Any opinions on this one ? Is it a fake, too ?

Here are more pics. I got this one from a collector in Germany with COA and bill of DN. The first owner of this cross was Stijn David, because his name is on the DN bill.

                              Dear Secter,

                              Some observations:

-your cross seems to be made of Tombak
-your cross seems to have different leaves
-your cross has believable finish and patina

                              But still:

-no small pin on reverse to hold this cross in position
                              Cheers, Frank
