    knight cross interesting or not?

today I bought a small collection from a 85 years old collector.
In this collection was also this knight cross.
For me it´s 100% not orginal but the question is if it is perhaps an early postwar kc?
The man told me that he bought the kc 1951 from steinhauer + lück.

    dimensions: 48,5 mm x 54,2 mm
    weight: 29 g

    it´s not magnetic

        HI!

Yes I know that is not original. My question is if it is perhaps an early postwar s+l product?

I think it's a really bad fake and not a reproduction look at this tread.

He may have bought it there during his time in the service, at least he was honest enough to say so, its unusual how the center ribbing is shifted off to the left. Is it cast on the medal? The frame doesn't look like 2 pc construction. Its still a collectors item i'd say, not worth a whole lot, but interesting . may i ask...What did you pay for this by chance?

After it was discussed here it is now for sale with only the "old man's" story !!!

                    http://www.militaria321.com/auktion/...ten-Ma%C3%9Fen

Nothing mentioned there about what was discussed here on WAF !!!

                    And listed under TOP OFFERS...........

Great way to do business !!!

The auction article description mentions postwar production (Nachkriegsfertigung).

Seems like a fair description. No danger of deceiving someone. Unless the RK is bought by Winkler and then offered for sale as original for 20,000 Euro
