Spanish cross in bronze - opinions -

Hi,

What do you think about this cross?
Whole hinge-pin-catch assembly looks funny, not like on any other awards,
And compare to the quality of other Spanish crosses I have in my files,
This one doesn't look as good.

Is there any concensus/evidence as to who manufactured these awards with this style pin and catch? I have a one piece 1914 EK1 with a very similar set up that I believe to be original (30s private purchase).
