    MAX auction fakes

So I was wondering what happened to the DKiG and RK fakes that the MAX auction sold at the MAX? Dietrich did a GREAT presentation that included the fakes being sold by this fine auction house () and we were told it was TS for the buyers as they had ample time for review. I always thought the MAX had a policy that all MAX sales were returnable - am I wrong?

I think the return policy only applies to items purchased/returned at the same show.

The buyer of that DK could have saved himself a few grand if he'd invested $8.50 in the latest issue of the International Medal Collector instead....

The auction house has a return policy. It says:

"A full refund of the purchase price and buyers premium shall be the limit of liability of the auction company and or its representatives should a lot deemed not authentic. Returns must be preauthorized and made within 15 days of receipt."

Hopefully the proud new owner showed his new beauty to someone who knows. The piece is marked "12" on the pin ....

I hope the proud owner of the fake Knights Cross can do the same. It is sad to see how easy it is to fool the collectors!
