You could pay a small amount (25 $ a year) and become a Association Member, that gives you among other things, the ability to upload pictures to WAF server.

Or you can upload your pictures to picture sharings services like http://photobucket.com/ and link to them in your post.

Looking forward to see your Deschler EK

    Welcome to WAF

              Hello Johan,

              welcome to the forum.

I have bad news : the ek you show is not a Deschler.
I think it's an S&L, with a later added mark.

deschler ek2 look like this one:

Thanks for your opinion ... Great EK2 you have !
                What do U mean with S&L ? Is this a Wartime EK2 or .. ?

                Regards,

                Johan

                  Hi Johan,

                  S&L = Steinhauer und Lueck, a wartimemaker of ek's and other medals/badges.

The Deschler will be in my collection soon, just bought it.

I am not good on ek 2, maybe one of the other members can tell you more about your ek

                    Hi Johan,

Ben is correct, your cross is unfortunately not a Deschler.
Can you take some straight on photographs of both sides - it would help to identify it.
My initial thoughts based on the 1813 date make me think it's a Katz & Deyhle '60', but the features on the obverse make me unsure.

                    Regards - Danny

                          Hi,
I think it is a wartime cross. As the other guys allready said, the makermark are bad!
Be very carefull in the start, untill you get some more experience. Buy your crosses from respected dealers or at the Estand on this forum.

Also be carefull with collecting EK's.. Its very very addictive. First you buy 1, then 5, then 20,30,40 and so on

                            Hi Johan,

Unfortunately, I'm not very optimistic about this being a wartime cross. IMO, it looks like a fake that is discussed here:
                            http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=446186

I may be wrong, but the K&D style reverse date combined with the obverse being very different from that of known K&D's make me very suspicious.
                            I hope I am wrong.

                            Regards - Danny

                              Hi Danny, Sonny, Ben,

i think you've have all right .. the mm is bad and not a wartime cross.

Because i buy it as an original i try to send it back to the seller.

Thanks to all for the help on the determination of my EK2.

i've said it today to a friend, .. in the future i buy from the Estand or respected dealers.

I have more crosses for severall years in my collection, four EK2 and one EK1 mm L/13 .. i hope they are original ..

should i post them here or make a new Topic ?

                              Regards - Johan
