Hi Fabri, the ek1 set, as I said I just fell for immediately. This is the best set I have in my collection so far, so I am really pleased with it, and my other two finds.
I didn't know, they used these red stamps on their cases prior to buying the set.
The more I study the deeper I am getting into cross collecting. I did think to buy one good quality cross from each level, one ek2, one ek1, one DKG etc when I first started collecting. But this just doesnt happen.
    I'm hooked!

    thanks again.

    regards John

This is a great find IMO, I don't remember to have seen a marked packet by Assmann..
The packet seems good to me, one of the early types..

Add : I'm very happy to know that you 've not stopped after 1st cross for each level.. eh eh

Hi Fabri, in hand the packet is 100% good. I was a little shocked when I spotted it, as I have never even thought of Assmann as an ek maker, until I read some posts here on another thread.
Its not a company you hear much about on the ek front.
So its pretty good evidence they made ek2s also.

          R John

            Hi John
yes I agree with your thought and I can understand your great surprise. This packet is something important for my knowledge because at today I remember just pics from their catalog. In fact there we can find pictures of an EKI and an EKII (both seems R3).

Round 3, thats interesting Fabri. Do we know, which variant, size, weight and design?

              regards John

Unfortunately no John, I have just seen this picture http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron...an_catalog.htm in WAF and in other forums too.
But this one was not maken with camera so I 'm not sure about design of dates..
