    Opinions on EK2 Envelope

I would appreciate any thoughts on this envelope - any chance the L22 on the obverse and the Rudolf Souval stamp on the back is legit?

      Jerry,

I'm not getting the obverse picture, only the reverse.

What are the measurements of the packet ? They are around 60 mm by 105 mm.

There are numerous type sets, and deviations/mistakes in designations and mm, without seeing the front I can't really express an opinion about the L 22 ?

Were Souval and Glaser & Sohn affiliated in anyway, I really don't know

This is mine our VII/62 are different ways around.

      Kind regards,

      Marcus

I can get the obverse now, it's anyones guess really isn't it, I like it; it's different and I suspect these things happened for what ever the reason.

I've not found a Souval bag with an LDO box on the front yet either ?

The EK2 that came with the package

Thanks for your input Marcus. To make things more interesting, here is the EK2 that came with the package. Take a look at the 12 o'clock arm of the swaz.

There is some excess metal in between the arms.

I feel strongly the cross is original. With the exception of the swaz, this is one of the more detailed crosses I have. The beading is meticules and check out this date. Any opinions are welcome. Thanks in advacne.

                  Dear Jerry,

The EK2, with the excess material on the 12 o´clock arm and the dent in the 9 o´clock arm looks like it could be one with a hollow printed core (two halves). Maybe you are able to check by "ringing" something against it. Does it sound hollow?

                  Cheers,

                  Frank

George - thanks for the picture

Frank - I had not thought of this possibility. It does not sound hollow after some very light tapping. With that said, I have never checked for "hollowness" before.
