I agree with Daniel, check the small suspension ring to see if there's other markings on it.

It would be interesting to see if there are any markings Bob, I have this 'v' shape in my 24

              Ok Guys,

I got the cross. There is a marking on the suspension ring, not a V though

Here are a couple of pics

                    Hi Bob,

You can see there in the small ring an oakleaf IMO.

                    Best regards,
                    Gabor

I have no idea Gabor, but now that you're saying that might be it, but what does that mean?

If I well know, then the firm of 24 used some signs on the little rings and on the big ( ribbon holder ) rings. The oakleaf was the traditional symbol and this is the well known sign on the little ring. The more signs are rare. Here are the list:

                        1: WR
                        2: Oakleaf
                        3: 0
                        4: +
                        5: ()
                        6: +0

                        Regards,
                        Gabor

I think you mean 'Acorn' - not oakleafs ? And the " X " should added to the list . The mark looks like an incomplete acorn on it's side .
