    Help needed with Klein & Quenzer Cross

    I have 2 number 65 Klein & Quenzer 1939 Iron Crosses 1st Class pin back. These are referred to as “A” and “B” in the accompanying pictures. “A” meets all the criteria as a good number 65. “B” is off by weight and size and is not 3 piece construction. The numerals 65 are completely different. Plus the back is hall marked “800”. Some colleagues say it is bad. Others say it might be a “variation” or a jewelers copy. Has anyone seen one like this or can offer some thoughts or insight

    Unfortunately 'B' is just a fake. It is commonly seen with other marks, or unmarked.

      Harry, Trevor is right on! Keep in mind that EKI's produced in the Third Reich are never had the .800 hallmark so in seeing that alone is reason enough to walk away!
