Souval EK1 -- Brass core

Can I have your opinions on this cross? Specifically, I am wondering if anyone has seen another with this pin that is known to be a wartime piece? I don't have this one in hand, but I can get any questions answered.

Hi Trevor,

These Souvals are often controversial however, to me, that's an Orth core in a Souval frame with a period authentic pin. I'm comfortable with the entire piece. In fact, I quite like it.

Hi Stu. Honestly, I really like it, too -- and I'm not a fan of the Souval design. But this one has "something" doesn't it? And the craftsmanship is superb (judging from the photos and from my talks with the current owner).

Nice and interesting crosses. But in the last pics we see clearly a Souval core and seems to see the same in the 1st one.

One can see the 2 bead lumps on the one George posted - not on the top arm as usual but frame was turned when assembled - on the right arm on his . Cannot make them out on yours Trevor .

Yes, the frame (and thus the Souval beading flaw) is rotated 90 degrees clockwise from "normal" on mine.
