The greatest investment you can make is KNOWLEDGE. Before you jump to buy a Knight's Cross, pay the membership dues, here, and order a copy of Dietrich Maerz's " THE KNIGHT'S CROSS OF THE IRON CROSS".

Between studying the forum and digesting Dietrich's book, you should be well enough armed with knowledge to pursue an original Knight['s Cross.

Gentlemen, I just got home for the day and came straight to this forum to see what you all had to say about this cross. I was afraid it wouldn't be good like you said, but we all hope to bump into something good once in awhile. At the price he was asking I didn't expect it to be good. German medals isn't an area I'm very familiar with, as I have only one. After looking at some of the threads it appears to be a Souval ek1. Anyway I was told to come here to get advice as the members here are very versed in kcs so that is why I joined. So many thanks to those who posted on this thread and special thanks to Trevor for posting photos for me. I'm going to hang around the threads and try to learn something if nobody minds. And thank you for helping me to not buy a bad one.
