    Ritterkreuz

Hello, I'm a new member and this is my first post. I joined this forum becuse I have an opportunity to purchase a cross and I was told this forum has some experts on these. I have some photos of it but I see I can't attach any at this time. In the mean time I can describe it . The cross is about 4.9cm side to side and almost 5.5 cm from bottom to top of eye. It weighs 30.5 grams with part of the ribbom attached. It has the #24 on the top arm near the eye and 800 on the loop the ribbon goes thru. The core is magnetic. I'm waiting until I find out if this ritterkreuz is real to make a decision on it. The gentleman is offering it at a real deal which makes me wary. He says he needs money or he wouldn't sell it. Thank you for any help you can give me on this. Regards, Walter

Darrell is right. No original RKs are yet known marked '24'.

I'll tell you what he wants for it after I'm sure it's not real, not that I'm doubting what you've said. Regards, Walter

It doesn't really matter what he's selling it for.

well, it could be a real RK with a post war added 24, but I highly doubt that.
So I would suggest you do like Darrell adviced you to do.

Welcome to the Forum Walter, if your serious about buying a RK becoming an Association Member so you can post your own pics of any potential purchases on the forum is a must in my opinion.
