I really don't know what is more terrible - the piece or the story!
The German custom officers (especially those in Frankfurt!) know about as much about genuine Third Reich items as an Amazon indian about Shakespeare! They are only trained like monkeys to "open their eyes" when they spot a swastika because they think that this is the end of the society as we know it and that they have to defend the state of Germany by confiscating (and later selling?) everything with that bad sign.
