    ZIMMERMANN 20 DKiG heavy issue

this is my cross in gold.
    its weight is 66 grs.
    bears 10'00 flaw
I beleive it as original. the only matter is that the pin catch is soldered directly to the base. usualy I see 20 marked crosses with the catch placed on a "plate" and then on the base !!??

not an expert in this awards. let me know your opinions.
    advanced thanks!!

      Looks nice to me!

The catch should be soldered directly to the base on these heavy versions; it's the light versions that had the catch soldered to the plate.

The heavy version is the early one. The backplate was made of Tombak which allowed a direct soldering to that plate. Later (light) versions had a backplate made of Cupal and this needed a bigger surface contact for soldering.
            A very nice cross!

Exactly, and the earlier ones are more desireable IMO. Congrats again on a very nice DKiG!

It seems to me that some one was trying to remove swastika from it.
