    EK1 Grouping. Souval or Orth

    Hi

I found the neat grouping today complete with the map case

I know about The Orth L/15s and this looks like an L/15 core with a Souval frame...Is this EK1 officially an Orth? It is also non magnetic.

Ciao Dion, it looks like a very nice lot.
I guess so, as you mentioned the cross is generally considered as Orth, or at least assembled by this maker with a combination of pieces coming from different makers. In this case you probably have a core + backplate & hardware attributable to Orth with a frame supplied by Souval (as far as i know Souval never used that kind of hardware...).
      Cheers,
      Stefano

ps which unit is mentioned on the awards?
