Of all the crosses that have passed through my collection, the one I've never sold is this unmarked early Brehmer. The construction, materials and finish are just the nicest I've ever seen on any 1939 EK2. It's a bit odd because there's nothing too special about it -- a standard cross, but exquisitely made. Personally, I'm no fan of the late Brehmers or W&Ls with the shiny flanges and painted cores -- they remind me of costume jewelry .

          Very impressive everyone,

Although I really enjoy a mint example (who doesn't?), I am lured to the vintage-looking pieces.

Ive enjoyed looking at your crosses guys

Found it kinda hard to choose a favorite to post myself, as I love all my crosses, so I will contribute my Thick R3.

Nice R3 Simon, it looks more like a 'Swaz on base' than a 'Thick'. How thick is it?

Ah, a Momentary Lapse of Reason there ... Right you are Carl , its a Stippled core with a Swaz on a Plaeau .

I Put my old garage vernia against the seam and it mesures 1.5 mm .

One reason why I favor this cross is the hue of the frame, it has the rainbow effect of petrol on water, very hard to catch on camera.
I have another cross, marked 76, with the same type of patina to the frame.
