I wanted to show one of my two recent rarer items I just received. It's a Cased Juncker EK I Spange 1. Pattern.
It's the same type of spange on the cover of Dietrich's & George's new EK I book, that I just cannot wait to receive.

Thanks Jon! This is what an expert explained to me, since there are a lot of good fakes out there:
"The die was slightly off-center during the stamp. The wreath around the swastika is slightly "slurred" on the left hand side. There is a tiny bit of extra material on the left side of the date-box that is untrimmed."
I think it's a matter of semantics -- those characteristics, which do indeed exist on some originals and no fakes (that I have seen), are not called "flaws," a word generally reserved for cracks or problems in the die .
