EK2 1939 to the Legion Condor Blue Division

    Hi guys,

I would like to ask you, that what do you think for this cross, why it's a very ugly and nasty. I found this an auction site. Is this a real and original piece or a fantasy cross?

If this is an original cross, then maybe made in Spain and who was the manufacturer? And permission of Präsidialkanzlei of? Perhaps can you show me pictures of wearing?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards Gabor

How does one see if such a cross is a "real" one or a copy.
As I se it, such a bad constructed cross must be easy to replicate?

                      Hi Sal,

I understand this different between the Legion Condor and the Blue Division, but I don't understood, that awarded these ugly but rare EK1's, EK2's and KVK2's under the Third Reich and made these badges in Spain ( what you see the DAK Medals, but these DAK Medals are very nice badges ) or later awarded. Well, I see now, that these badges are postwar 50's or 60's pieces, but rare, what the Japanesse EK1. If I well understand the story.

                      Best regards Gabor

Two examples of two different dies and makers of my collection.
The first one is stamped in real silver, the unique sample known, all are stamped of silvered brass.

I am really sorry, ciritione, but your spanish made Iron Cross is a modern reproduction, die cast instead coined. The authentic crosses are made of two pieces welded, obverse and reverse.
