    My two latest ek2s

Hi everybody, I have just picked up two 2nd class iron crosses. The first one I thought I would ask for some opinions on this Juncker, as to the maker of the core. I have searched previous threads which I think points me in the direction of W&L. I also compared it to my W&L which I think confirms the maker??

My second cross, is a maker marked 65, Klein and Quenzer.
      Incidentally, both crosses rattle.
      All opinions welcome.
      Thanks, kind regards John

          Hello John
you 're right, 1st is un unmarked Juncker, W&L cored.
          2nd cross is a nice K&Q.

            Thanks Fabri, as I suspected.
Was it only W&L who collaberated with Juncker?

            kind regards John

There are early Juncker EKIIs that show the S&L front date.
These cores can be in iron or zinc construction.
              Here an example (magnetic).

Thanks again Fabri, I see that the core front date on the nine to the one has a flaw?
I read about that somewhere, I will have to do some more reading up. I only have one S&L and the numbers are different to the front, so I take it its a different die.

                cheers again John

                  Hi John,
yes my cross has a flaw there.
I have no S&L in my collection to make comparations but I agree especially n. 3 is different.

Hi Nick and Ewan, thanks for the positive comments.
I have been searching for a decent Juncker for a while. The Klein and Quenser, I have had an award envelope for some time, so its nice to finally get a nice cross to go with it.
                            Thanks again lads.

                            regards John
