    Round 3 EK

I picked this one up earlier this year as an upgrade.

Two theories have been advanced about the maker -- Deschler 1 or Boerger 22. I'm not sure -- I think it's neither one, but rather remains unknown.

    Thanks for looking .

Trevor, beautiful cross, mine has a bit of rust on it and is also unknown and I think it is the same maker as yours. Jim

Man Trev, That is a cross that speaks! Probably the mintest of this type I have seen with Jims being another example that speaks "Been there!"
very familiar hinge and pin set up! it sure would be nice if you can pin down a maker!
        Best of luck!

Familiar as I said? This looks like a close match for pin, hinge and catch with hinge mounted higher on the cross? my hinge pin sticks out a bit more though?
          Regards!

I would say Boerger, because it does not match to Deschler

Very very nice, Trevor. This pin and hinge look very much like a Weidmann I own. But, of course, not the same maker.

                  Thanks Robert.

Yes, this pin system was used by a few makers, including some Deumers with 1914 cores. Because of this fact, it makes it tough to pinpoint a maker from the pin alone. I bet Kevin's is a Weidmann as well.
                  Best regards,
                  Streptile

                    Yep.. Indeed it's a Wiedmann!
So I wonder if any member would know which Makers used this pin/hinge set on TR EKI's? I would have to think it is a postage stamp size list!
Perhaps when the new book (or Book's) are published, some information such as this will come to the surface? I really would be excited if so... however am not holding my breath!
