A plea to update the WA database

I initially found and repeatedly returned to WA because it was the only website that I could find that had a good database of photographed EK1s and EK2s. I later joined so that I could post photos and get a little deeper into collecting by having a dialogue with other collectors. I learned to check examples in the database against photos of ones for sale. After a while I realized that there were quite a few EKs that weren't in the photo database but were certainly in the hands of fellow collectors. For example, I know that there is an L/50 screw back EK1 in a member's collection but not a photo of one in the database. I have mentioned this before but could the powers that be PLEASE update the photo database? I'm sure collectors would be more than happy to have their crosses up as examples.

Yeah I notice that. It´s exactly the same EK2 in the Floch Article here

That situation was mentioned to higher ups some time ago....

I agree! This should be updated! I also used this tool when I started collecting EK's however this great idea of a database soon grew tired or really stagnant!!
Lets hope the higher ups see the value in having a GREAT database!

Database

Several years ago I worked on putting all of my spange collection into the proper format and forwarded them to a moderator (who will remain nameless). I asked him several times what the status of the udate was and all I got was excuses. It would be cool to update databases with lot of Eks. I can provide some of my for sure too. I used databases many times at the beginning.

I think its a great idea too. It would be a fantastic help for aspiring ek collectors.
I am sure the membership would be really keen on this.
