Very nice original Fritz Zimmermann. Interesting, the catch opens on the opposite side as most crosses by this maker.

              It 's a very nice set !!
The left catch is not so easy to find on the Zimmermanns.

                  Looks good .

I was expecting to see a '6.' mark.

This kind of patina -- in which the pin tones much darker than the rest of the cross -- is very typical for FZ6. Also typical and correct is the case with the black inlet and the oddly colored carton.

You asked about value? Values are always opinions, and thus very subjective. I would say this set is worth about $700 +/- $50, with the unmarked cross. Dealers would ask a bit more.

PS. Thanks for your nice PM.
                  Best regards,

                    Thanks for the replies guys

Why do you think the pin would go unmarked? Is that common? I was asking about your thoughts on value if I decide to sell or trade the cross.

No reason -- some were marked and some were not. Possibly the unmarked ones are earlier.
