Schinkel EK1

I have this Schinkel EKI down as unknown, but having looked at the date I think it is a Deumer. What are your thoughts on this or is it still unknown??? Thanks for the help. Jim

Inner corners on this cross are pretty round.

Is there a rounder fake in the Schinkel EK I?

Hi Jim,

In short, it doesn't match any originals. It is trying to be a Deumer, but pretty much everything is wrong -- the frame, the pin, the hinge. The date is one of the only things they got somewhat right on this one, but the position of the date is wrong. As Wayne mentioned, the poor (rounded) finish to the inner corners of the outer frame is also a sign on a fake -- no period crosses have this problem to this extent.

Agree its a good fake, when comparing to a original, there is no question about it. Hope you not lost too much money on it.
