      Hi Paul

      There are five:

      Schinkel-B
      Thin
      Thick
      Swastika on podium
      Large 8 & 3

There maybe more, but don't think so. Do a search, as there was a discussion on this subject.

I believe there was only one maker of the round 3. It would be nice to see yours

          Hi Nick,

Some believe Deschler made them all, but I think the more common view is that there were 3-5 makers of the R-3. I personally think there were about 4.
          Best regards,

There are (6) round 3's that I know of:

                      top row: light beveled-edge, heavy

front row: swasi on pedestal, Schinkel-B, Deschler

Jim speaks of another, a round 3 with a drooping '8' and '3' in 1813.

Robert, you are right as I didn't count my Deschler. Jim

The Schinkel-B is the rarest of them all, and very hard to find. The others show up for sale on dealer's sites and the e-stand.

                              Hi Paul :
R3s are harder to find ...if you look around you will find them . Some types/variations are much harder to find and quit pricy ( Schinkel B) .
Even if you get the ones as shown by Robert - and you want to go a step further - there are still all the ' front and back core ' die variations in different frames yet .
I have been looking into some of these exstensive variations and show here an unfinished rough sample of what one can find . All crosses here are the heavy type ,... frame of 1 is different and the others are the same . Only some of the front and back die variations that exist . The low 8 and 3 (of Jims) Robert mentioned - shown as 2 in the 1st picture - I consider a die variation only . And once you have all those dies then start on the weight variations .
