    EK2 - hoping for a maker guess

Maybe it's a waste of time asking but I'm wondering if there's any way to guess the maker of this cross.

Needless to say there're no markings. Paint looks a bit more glossy than usual and it has a nice high swastika.

    Any WAGs out there?

    Thanx, RC

          Trevor, Thanx for the comment.

Sorry if I sound stupid but what's "little brother Ubergroße" refer to? Does this reference refer to the size? This thing is 44.76mm wide by 44.76mm high...

          Also, I assume this is a typo: "-- value ~ €500."

          Looking forward to hearing back.

            Hi Rick,

An Uberbroße is a large-size EK2 (almost RK size) that some feel were perhaps prototype RKs. The "little brother" is the same version, but with the flanges filed down to the size of a regular EK2. Both are uncommon.

The value is no typo. It's about what folks pay for them.
            Best regards,
            Streptile

This thing is, some people do find these for €50. They are the most subtle variant imaginable, and a trained eye can sometimes miss them. When they are identified, they go for big bucks -- I saw one sell on the eStand recently for €600, and another last year for €450. But I also know a friend who pulled one out of a box of unmarked EK2s at a show for €60.

The name "little brother" was coined by Daniel AKA Grueni here on WAF, I think.
                  Best regards,
                  Streptile
