    KVK1 catch.. a question

    Hi Guys,

I just received a new cased KVK1 made by K&Q and she is a beauty, but the catch is a bit bend so the pin won't open anymore. Is there a way to bend the catch a little bit back so there would be more space to oen the pin again. Or would you suggest: leave it as it is.

It is an early tombak version. I will post pictures later today as I am not in the possibility to do so right now.

    Thanks

    Bob

shouldn't be any problems to open up a little bit. You can use a small flat screwdriver. Put it under the end and very gently bend it open. Check for cracks before you do that.'

Before you all shout out:, it's really not a hard thing to do, the metal is pretty soft.

      Hello
I think you can do it, tombak is flexible, but I would like to see a good pic before.
If yes, I 'll explain to you a good way to do it.

very easy to fix with a flat screwdriver. Just put it in the gap and raise on side of the screwdriver and you are done.

Today is the day of days . I will try it. If I mess up, I will blame you all

Just need a little more space, so the pin can go free again.

I will show the result later when it's done.

                    Hello there,

The weld looks like it will hold the catch in place so it should open just fine.

                    Good luck!
