Weight of "light " Deschler DKiG

Hello, This is my first question on the forum so I hope I'm doing this correctly.
Can someone tell me the weight of a Deschler #1 "light " DKiG and the weight of a Deschler #1 " heavy " DKiG ? Thanks. Rich

    Hello Rich,

    Welcome to the Forum!

There are a few versions of the "heavy" Deschlers - ones with 10, 6 and 4 rivets. The one with 6 rivets even has two different varieties (long and short pin) - can you tell us which one you have and maybe post some pictures for reference? We all love to look at examples

Dietrich Maerz, in his book The German Cross (an essential research book if you are collecting DKs), lists average dimensions for each of the different models. The average weight for a 4-rivet "heavy" is 70.5g and the 4-rivet "light" is 54.9g. The other "heavy" models average between 64.3 - 68.5g.

    Hope this helps.

    Eric
