    Deschler EK II

    Hello guys,

I just want to know your opinions about this sweetie. Bought with document and envelope with paper to guy who served in division, which was destroyed 2-3 months later. So I think it was sent to family, due to its nice condition.

It looks like a "hoard" example -- from a stock of unissued Deschlers discovered after the war. If it is, it's interesting to see one attributed to a soldier. The other possible explanation is that the cross and document do not truly belong together. I think it's hard to say with these tiniest of groupings.

In any case it looks to be a marvelous example of a classic EK2.
    Best regards,
    Streptile

Very nice set but I think the cross set comes from the famous hoarde and the Urkunde comes separately, as Trevor have just sayd.
