JUst curious, would you pay extra for one? I have a screw back case that is black flock, but did not consider it more desireable.....Colarado
No.....it's only the early pinback cases that I'm referring too - black bases for screwbacks are very common....

I´ve seen white bases on screwback cases, but all are for those crosses that do not have the spike.

In my experience I have seen far more private purchase LDO pieces to be commonly encountered in black base cases. Can’t honestly recall the last time I saw an issue piece in a black base case, if at all. I have a few L/11’s and unmarked in black base cases. I always leaned these toward private purchase, much like the screw backs in black lined cases.

Can anyone tell me what makers made the screw back without the spike to go in the white flocked cases? I have such a case sans a screwback at the moment.

          Thanks,
