    Spange Help #4 Screwback

    OK, this one...

Sold to me by a total scumbag in 1999. Remember the old saying don't buy the story, well on this one the story ruins the piece, for me...

But, I'd love to be surprised and find out he sold me something that wasn't a fake.

      Dear Brian,

I think taking your slightly angled shot into consideration, it can be matched to this type. This would be a good sign, at least the spange I show is a good one.

I don't think so, Frank. Look how different the space is between the eagle's head and it's right wing. Here's another of the type you showed.

Here's another one. Look how differently the legs are shaped too.

That´s right, George, but it is "just" a cut out shape difference, the design is the same, isn´t it?

Would like to see a non-angled clear obverse shot of just the spange from Brian, if possible.
              Cheers, Frank

Never mind the details on the front!

Why would you use a TOPHOOK on a screwback badge?!? On merely the Spange, I mean.

                Pin, yes! Tophook, no!

You are all right. I should have gone to bed before 6 a.m.!

Yes, the one I bought in '98 a very poorly executed copy of Frank's. That one is very nice. Mine more of a fruit loop bird.
