Juncker ek2 packet with unknown cross???

I just got this set today and wanted to post it for some opinions.
I saw the ek2 with this Juncker packet and after searching the forum, on info on the bag, bought it, mainly for the packet.
The cross, I havent got a clue about. Its unmarked, has had a sticky label over the Hakenkreuz, but the cores paint is overall very good. Any ideas on the maker??

thanks for looking and any advice.
    regards John

You did very well with that Packet. There are a few Packets that I would consider genuinely "rare" and this is one.
        Best regards,

That's an exclusive packet! I remember years ago when I missed one just like it by seconds on Weitze's update. Congratulations. It's just as nice as having a Juncker cross. Maybe better. BTW, the cross is not a Juncker; what it is I don't know, but will study it more tonight.

          Nice packet!

            Nice envelope !
The cross looks like a S&L EK2 ... the frame is rotated 180 degrees .

Thanks for the informaion here. Where do you find all these bits of information??
I find it staggering to think how much research you have done to know this.
                      regards John

                        Hi John :
It takes time and alot of work to gather information that has been identified over time here , .. besides a firm general understanding of crosses and manufacturing - otherwise even correct information can be used and applied incorrectly .
A lot of searching to find information as posts do not stay on the first page - just the nature of the post program . Dietrich and G Stimson are putting together refference books for EK1s and EK2s to finaly to have in hand a basic and on some more advanced information on makers crosses caracteristics and I think variations too . The 1st cross book is due shortly and then some time later the 2nd one . A good in hand starting foundation for beginners and a quick refference for those more advanced for further study ....etc .... and take it anywhere !
I am not trying to push a book here . You should see the folders I got of printed material I gathered from when I started . In short there will be more available for new collectors . Is it complet .? No ....and probably never will be as there is unknown information still out there .

                        Regards, Douglas

Thanks Douglas for the help here. I will watch out for these books.
In the meantime I will keep looking at the Waf crosses forum.
Since starting collecting crosses, I have to admit I have learned a wee bit which
has just fuelled my admiration for these awards and collecting them.
I just wondered if there was anything, bookwise, for iron crosses like the ones published for the close combat clasp, tank badges etc, as these have a wealth of information. So, thanks for putting me in the right direction.

                          kind regards John

                            Very nice and rare packet

I'm still looking for a good EK2 book. My main interest are Ek2's, and most books are about EK1! Let me know if you guys have a good and usefull Ek2 book.
