    Table of Prices for RK

Out of interest, and knowing the levels of attention to detail displayed on this forum, have any members kept a record of RK sales prices over the last year, two, five, ten years?

An accurate assessment is likely impossible, as it would require inside knowledge of collector trades, trawls of every online sales site, auction houses and militaria dealership on the planet, and that's clearly not feasible. But a basic summary would be of interest, to me at least.

    Yours curious,

    S

the prices have gone up and up and up and...

And I do not think that will change any time soon.

I agree, despite some predictions that prices will fall, Knights Cross prices are still going up, Juncker KC prices particulary are getting quite amazing, I have seen one dealer offering a standard cased Juncker for almost $20k.

Hmm. I was searching last night and stumbled across this:

I've seen the $19.55k Junker on the site you're talking about. I guess it'll eventually sell. Amusing in the context of this thread:

The craze about the Juncker Rks was created by Niemann and has no base in reality. They are the most common and they are not even the best quality. They are nice, sure, but quality-wise nothing comes close to an early A-Type from S&L.
In regards to rarity the L/12 is far away from that term.

I decided for my one and only Knights Cross purchase a Juncker as I thought it would be a good choice for a first time RK buyer, there are less questions surrounding their time of manufacture compared to some other maker types and the fact that they are one of the most common types actually makes them more appealing to me as so many were presented to and worn by Knights Cross winners. Maybe many other first time RK buyers think similiar to me and that is another reason why Juncker Knights Crosses are in demand. I am just glad I bought mine when I did as soon they will be out of my price range at this rate.

I would add that the very high probability of destroyed dies does add a premium to the Junckers' collectability and re-sale value - and in that respect, Niemann may have had a point.

On every other point, I agree with my friend Dietrich. As an aesthetic, S&L had it nailed.
