      Jay,

Nice displays! (Now I understand where the PMs for my placard fonts are coming from...!)

To create my labels/placards (I like to try and create museum-like displays) I use PowerPoint to create the labels.

If you look on your computer, there is a folder:

      C:\WINDOWS\Fonts

where you can add fonts that will then be accessible by Windows programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)

I do a simple Google search on fonts I am looking for, and download and them (freeware) to that above folder. As with anything, you have to worry about malicious downloads, but, so far everything has been OK (I scan them first before downloading). Once they are downloaded and unzipped into that folder, they are then usuable in PowerPoint.

For these particular placards, I used "Times New Roman," "Kleist-Fraktur" (for the numerals) and "Luftwaffe" for the Makers. I find "Luftwaffe" best displays letters in an English-readable format. I have also experimented "Kleist-Fraktur," "Propaganda," "Schwaben Alt," and believe it or not "Crappy Wehrmacht Typewriter."

Now, if I can figure out a way for this to fund additional purchases... Of course, this is all in the spirit of the forum and I enjoy sharing!
