Looking at the eagle's eyes, claws and numerals, I'd say we have two original Juncker Spangen here. Congrats, Biro!

            Ps. Just my humble opinion.

              Biro,

You can rest easy, Antti hit the nail on the head. These are textbook original early Juncker pieces. Very hard to find. Well done and congratulations.

                    Dear Biro,
Thank you very much for sharing those great pics with us! Now I know what should go in my empty case which is just like yours. Could you please show a pic of the reverse of the EK1 clasp?

                    Best regards,
                    Al

Thanks all - I appreciate your comments very much - but don't thank me, thank Kai Winkler who now owns my house, my car, and my oldest son..........

To get the early case as well was just the icing....

Personally, I blame Gordon Williamson for this - his posts over the years of those two gleaming Junkers he owns just drove me too it. They look like polished Gold!!

Anyway......here is the reverse of my 1st class for Albert as requested.....

And here's the pics that started it all - the 'golden glow' of Gordons pair that I'm talking about......stiff competition indeed, but then maybe it's just the lighting.......

...very nice and much rarer than a Knights Cross!!!

The very early ones(given after the Polish campain) came in the same box but without the eagle on it.

Thanks pieter - I never know when to let a thread end, so.........

In relation to your above quote, I had read about the un-embossed cases being for Polish campaign awards, but I'm a little confused now.....presumably it is just the un-embossed Case that identifies it as a Polish campaign issue Spange, or is their something about the Spange itself that identifies whether it was presented for this early campaign....... ????

                              Thanks again...
