EK 2 Wächter & Lange type? Real?

Hey all, I would once again like to bow down to you expertise and I ask if you think that this piece is a yes or a no. Do you think it is real?

    Thanks to all who respond!

        Yep

I agree with George. It looks just like mine that I got off of the eStand. These Wachtler and Lange crosses seem to stay in better shape over the years than a lot of others. Nice piece!

          Wow!

Thanks for the Lightening fast Reply George! I liked it too, but just wanted the opinion from someone such as yourself who I know is also an avid EK Collector.

Thanks agian and I'm going to see if I can get this beauty. I do have one quick question thugh.

Why would a maker stamp only some of their EK's with their Maker mark and not others? Why leave it off? Too time consuming?

Oh and thanks to Jeramiah too!

I think that they.... just didn't stamp some of them!

I guess that's as good an answer as any. Thanks George

some manufacturers may simply run out of stamped rings for certain production batches and they just left it out. Or it could be that it is never their priority to mark their items.

What is so important to us now may not be important to the production workers that are busy trying to churn out numerous types of awards in the smack of a World War....

anyway, your guess is as good as mine. Now let's see if we can find ANYONE who works with one of these german medal makers...it would make an interesting interview!
