      It is what we call an "early Godet" -- yes.

      Whether it is actually an early Godet -- I don't really know. I'm not sure what the poof of that is. It is a nice cross that has all the features (core, pin, hinge, catch) of a later Godet but with a different frame. It is also less-common than a "standard" Godet.

      It's very nice! I would love some proof that this type is a Godet, myself.

        Andr' : Nice earlier Godet EK1 - which I would refer to as a transitional type - which has intergrated Zimmermann parts .

          Hi Streptile,

          This cross came cased and with carton.Inside a newspaper article from 26 november 1940.This airforce man became his cross probably for the "Batlle of Great Brittain'.
          Carton is Godet marked with the correct cross inside.
