Value of Knights Cross Oaks and Swords

A vet I know has a cased Knights Cross with ribbon and cased Oaks with swords. I have no reason to believe they are fakes, they have been with him since 1944. He is a D Day vet.
I have have told him they are worth a lot of money but how much?.He was pictured in his local paper with some of his stuff recently and he has already had phone calls from sharks wanting to come and look.

If I recall correctly, I saw a set similar to the one you describe not too long ago going for $33,000 usd.

This set has a Juncker Sword set. That is why the price is so low. An official sword set (and a verteran in 1944 was most likely "getting" an award piece .....) has to be either Type 1 or Type 2 of Godet. And they are more than an (IMHO unproven) L12 set.

An original Knight's Cross, with Godet oak Leaves and Swords, in the case, will bring about $50,000.00 in today's market.

Discussion on possible prices aside, until good pics are available, it's all conjecture. Any chance of some photos?
