Nice earlier one without the box surrounding the L/11 stamp! I love these crosses!

Larry, one last thought after looking at my simmular maker marked unboxed L/11, Your cross may have a copper coated core such as mine? I cant tell from the photos as it looks like Your core finish is all there!
My example has paint off the swastika and most of the date, I bought it thinking it was a brass core, Suprise...!!! Suprised when I put the magnet to it!
Looked like a brass core, but indeed a copper coated iron core!
            Again nice example!

... and a leather core. The iron core was removed and replaced with the leather, presumably in a POW camp???

Deumer used copper-plated iron cores post-war, too...

Apparently, Deumer really liked using a copper-plated iron core! Here is my 1957-version early Deumer EK1 with a copper-plated iron core - on the bottom of the right oakleaf, you can barely see the copper. This core is magnetic.

And Larry....the EK1 you posted looks nice and original

Nice examples Gang!!! As I said I thought the cross I bought was Brass core as did the seller! He never thought to put a magnet to it!
AUSGANG, you have a fine collection of De Naz crosses and I am happy You posted Your example showing transition of copper coat to iron!
jt327gir, Your cross is most interesting! Can we see the reverse? All those years after the War and Copper plate was still used? I admit it should hold a core finish better than iron as copper does not rust!
                    Best Regards!
                    Kev
