    EK1 with maker L/56 - four different pinsetup ;-)

    Hi,

Today I receive L/56 No. 7, but this EK1 complete my pinsetup variation.

Do you know other pinsetup combination from this maker?

      Stefan,

I believe these are pretty good representations of what you already show....

If you mean a cross which is from the dimension a little bid bigger like Uebergrosse EK2?

I must say, that I did not know anyone who had an EK1.

If I remember correctly there are about 3 other members here that have one of these U'bergross EK1s - .. most have Godet front with Zimmermann pin set . .. I posted mine about a year ago . You must have seen it .... I would bet you got one and do not even know it .
The one pictured is a size modified one .... frame reduced to conform to the regular EK size and not immediatly noticeable . The Frame flange on the arms hardly exist after trimming down . The same as the UB EK2s .

              Hi Douglas,

I don't know how big an Uebergrosses EK1 have to be, but I have checked all my Zimmermann and Godet EK1.

Here is the biggest one. I think that the frame flange was also trimed down.
              What Do you think?

              Can you measure your EK1?

Unfortunatly that is not one .... I clasify that as a regular Godet EK1 with a Zimmermann frame .

No problem ;-) But, what is the characteristic to know that I have one?

The overall size does not matter in this case . 44x44 or 48x48 and in between .
The positioning of the beading is what identifies it . I will pull up a comparison here .

Quickly taken this picture to compare the bead layout to a KC . The full size UB has about the same size layout as the KC . Trimming the UB down to 44x44 just about leaves no frame flange at all .

                        Hi Douglas ;-)

                        Many THX

Now I understand, but unfortunatly I have no KC for compare.
Can you measure the dimension of the bead layout for me?

A same scale side by side comparison showing the Godet UB being a bit larger than the commonly found EK2 UB - different dies . The differences are not noticeable unless one has them next to each other - something to compare with .

                            Hi Douglas ;-)

Very nice, but can you provide us some dimension like [mm] or [in]?
That I can check myself, if I have an Uebergrosses EK1?

                            Many Thanks in advance

Only some thoughts: IMO the core design looks a little bit different - Could it be?
