EKII made for a medal bar (Who made it?)

Anyone know who made this particular EKII. Normally I would search through all the pages and find out for myself but my dial up takes me forever to load a page and I'd be at it for days.

Also, any ideas on the value of such a cross as I want to put it on the E-stand.

    Thanks,

    Chuck

IMO a fake, which I know since 3 years.
I saw this fake in stuttgart at first.

    Here is another one.

      Hello there,

Very strange looking cross at the start of this thread. The frame is really thick and the suspension ring is really small.

        William,

Regarding the suspension ring on this cross. G. Williamson shows a picture of a cross with this type suspension ring in his book "The Iron Cross of 1939", you will find an example of a Deschler made cross on page 64 with such a ring (center page on right). Very angular crosses with wide flanges do exist with some of them being maker marked while the really early ones are not.

        Regards,

        Chuck

PS: I have never seen a smaller parade style suspension ring with a makers mark.
