    Misrepresentation?

Surfing the netstores today I ran across this description of a PKZ 4 marked S&L EKII...

"A near mint example of the LDO marked, Steinhauer und Luck Iron Cross II. Class. This example may have been removed from a medal bar, so there is no ribbon present, but the piece is in excellent condition, with 100% of its factory blackened core finish, silvered frame, and 99.99% of the frosting still retained on the beaded areas. A beauty!"

Anyone who knows a bit about EK's and the marking system, would know S&L's LDO mark was L/16, I wonder who bought it? It is a nice Cross that is NOT LDO marked!!!
Also stated is that "it may have been removed from medal bar"...? Is this due to the missing ribbon??? I have a few EKII's that must have been removed from medal bars too as they have no ribbon!

Here is a link to the site...

I just found the description misleading, it shows why any buyer should do thier homework before purchasing an item.

Happy EK hunting and Best Regards!
