Wondering if anybody can offer up an opinion on this spange, despite my (usual) crummy pix.

    thanks in advance

Based on those pics, I do ot like it. It seems to miss all the finer details from a real spange. It looks cast to me.

But let's to see what Jon ahve to say about this.

        I agree with Flemming.
It does look cast, and pretends to be an L/16

            Spange

Looks like a seam running aroung the edges, which indicate a cast copy. Jim

I kind of agree, but that kind of patina is pretty convincing...
could it just be 'bad pics/good piece'?
              any chance of better pics?
              regards

I still vote for a cast copy, I can also see the line along the edge, that would suggest cast.

But of course, better pictures could prove me wrong.

Thanks for the opinions to all - unfortunately, I've already packed it away last night, in preparation for a soon-to-come move. It came with a grouping of other stuff that's all good (KVK 2's and some other odds and ends) that I have had for awhile.

As I recall, I didn't pay too much for it, so if it is bad, no huge loss.

I'll see if I can dig it back out today and get some better pix....maybe that'll help.

                  best
