Even the big dealers miss identify crosses!

Greetings Lady's and Gent's! seems if My German is not to rusty KW is calling this cross a Zimmermann? What do You see? I see a early Deumer with the killer crusher beading known to this frame... and rounded radius on pin underside where it turns 90 degrees to the stop!
    here is the link.

    Here is the text.
EK 1.Klasse 1939, stark gewölbt, an Nadel, ohne Herst.(jedoch typisches Stück des Herstellers 20), sehr schöner leicht getragener Zustand
Just goes to show we are learning all the time, and this cross is much rarer than a Zimmermann! I would jump on it if looking for a Deumer!
    Best Regards!

Happens all the time with early Deumers.

They're probably basing their IDs solely on the shape of the pin.
(But that's nothing. I've bought maker-marked crosses from big name dealers that were still mis-identified, simply because they didn't bother to look closely enough at the marks!)

I bought a beautiful Screwback EKI recently advertised as unmarked, I swore I could see the small L/52 mark in the photos on the dealer site!
Sure enough the cross showed up and was marked L/52, and for a nice unmarked cross price!

Nice of You to out that "Deumer" Jon, Perhaps You saved a member here heartache or even heartburn!!!!

Any other stories of Miss Id'd items being bought for a deal?

Best to You all and have a great weekend!
