Question on Paulmann and Crone cross

    Hello fello members,
I have a Paullmann and Crone ek2 packet and would like to marry it up with the right cross. Can anyone tell me what characteristics set these crosses apart from other crosses? I am pretty new to collecting ek,s and find it fascinating how some members can differenciate between different maker cores with frames and identify unmarked crosses. Is there any one book that can help me on this quest for knowledge? I just wondered if there was anything for crosses like the ones for PABS, GABS and CCCs, on the market.

Any help will be very much appreciated.

    kind regards John

    Hi John,
Paulmann & Crone EKs are quite distinctive, they are quite 'untidy' by other manufacturers standards. The dates are recogniseable by the fact they are like no other. You will find that the ribbon ring has a smaller diameter than those found on other EK2s. Have a look through some old threads and pick out some features that you are happy to use in identification (I use the dates, ribbon ring and inner corners, others may not.)
Here are a couple of pics of one of mine to help you out.

        Nice cross Adri.
Here my cross. John these crosses are always unmarked but you can recognize them for the inner corners design that round far than swaz
and for date with its typical 3 too.

Thank you for the replies Adrian, and Fabri, very much appreciated.
Now that you have pointed these out to me, and the relevant information, they are quite distinctive. I will have a proper search now, as I had typed into the search engine the maker mark, and I was unsure if they marked their crosses etc.
Crosses information seems so vast, I have a lot to learn.

          kindest regards John
